Epoxy Standard

Materials: glass, ceramics, porcelain, concrete, plastics, stone, metal, aluminium, rubber, wood, brick, gold, silver, steel, cork, wood-based materials

Applications:

• Repairing detached handles on pots and pans
• Repairing damaged furniture hinges
• Repairing broken fence components
• Filling gaps in stairs and floors
• Making prototype molds
• Repairing damaged sports equipment, e.g. delamination of ski bases, badminton or tennis rackets
• Permanently bonding and encapsulating electronic components, e.g. protecting an antenna board against weather conditions
• Making castings, e.g. pot lid handles and radio knobs
• Filling gaps in stone, e.g. granite or marble monuments
• Creating chemical-resistant joints, e.g. in laboratory tables and floors

Working conditions: use the adhesive at temperatures above 10°C.

Surface preparation: the surfaces to be bonded should be clean, abraded, degreased, and dry.

Adhesive application:

1. Break off the nozzle tips and dispense a small amount of adhesive to eliminate any air bubbles.
2. Dispense the appropriate amount of adhesive into the included mixing cup and thoroughly mix the components with the spoon until a uniform, streak-free mixture is obtained.
3. Apply the prepared mixture to one of the surfaces to be joined.
4. Press the bonded components firmly together and hold them in place for 3–4 hours.
5. To achieve full bond strength, leave the bonded component for 48 hours.
6. After dispensing the adhesive, clean any adhesive residue from the nozzles, remove the plug located between the plungers, and cap the nozzles on the syringe.
